Worked on my nephew's birthday party invitations.  I used the Ahoy, Matey set and I really like how they turned out.  Hopefully he does too.

Coming out of hiding cuz I've been tagged!

So I have been thinking about coming back for awhile now. I like blogging but sometimes finding the time is impossible and I'm running with the kids to different activities and like a million other lame excuses but an old friend who I have missed so very much also came out of hiding to tag me and now I'm back. Heeellllooooo bloggers!!! yeah I know I'm a dork but it's okay as long as you can identify and admit to it:) Back to the tag! I'm supposed to list eight random things about me.

1. I just dyed my hair this really cool purple color again.

2. I love the smell of Eternity for men.

3. Halloween is my favorite holiday.

4. I wish I was still smoking even though I know it's like so out(like I care)Just gimme a smoke.

5. Starbucks makes my happy!

6.  I'm to old to wear glitter but I still do it anyway! I'm such a rebel you know.

7. I HATE cooking! And cleaning for that matter.

8. My favorite escape is rubber stamping and scrapbooking. So there it is nothing really exciting but I've done my duty. Now to tag eight other people. Hmmm this could take awhile....................

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!!!!!

Hi everyone I hope you all have had a wonderful Mother's Day.  I know I did.  This morning I woke up and all the kids were still asleep which is really unusual around here.  So I took a shower started getting ready for my day.  First we went to Olive Garden with my mother in law, father in law, sister in laws, kids, nieces, and nephew.  You'll notice my husband and his brother were not mentioned they were playing an early round of golf.  After lunch I went to visit my mom and to give her the gift I had made her of course I forgot to take a picture of it.  It was a really pretty(if I do say so myself) scrap booked page in a shadowbox frame.  I made another for my mother in law as well.  Once hubby was playing golf he and I went shopping and he bought me a new photo printer it's an HP Photosmart D7360 I just finished playing with it and so far I love it the pictures look amazing.  He also bought photoshop for me as well.  I haven't played with that yet.  Then we went over to my sister in laws and watched LOST my stupid dvr forgot to record it while I was at the beach(which is why I haven't blogged in so long.) Then we went out for dinner at a yummy sub and pizza joint.  It was a wonderful day!  Of course I forgot to take pictures today. 

Back to why I haven't blogged in a long while.  I was at the beach first with four of my dearest friends from high school and then I went right back with my kids and one of the same friends.  I had a great time both visits.  Each visit was fun in it's own way.  Here are a couple of pictures from my trip with the girls.

We had the greatest time.  I'll post some of the kids beach trip tomorrow.  See ya then.

Bad, Bad ME!!!

I am a really bad blogger.  It's been so long.  Why?  Well, I really didn't feel like I had anything to say.  Which isn't really true, I've been up to a lot since I last posted.  I went to Va. Beach for Stampin' Up regionals and had a great time and learned some really cool techniques that I am planning to use very soon. 
The girls are taking the end of the year test that I give them every year and then turn into the school board so that they can see that we really are doing school and not just watching t.v. everyday:)  I've also been running around a lot, Jessica has two different drama classes every week in two different cities so lots of driving.  I think we will be doing history in the car tonight.

Happy Birthday little brother!

Today is my little brother's birthday.  Although he hasn't been little for a long, long time I still enjoy calling him my little brother.  Even though we don't always see eye to eye on things he is one of the most amazing men I have ever met and I love him more than words can express.  Have a great day today, I'll be thinking of you.

Happy Easter everyone!

This is what we woke up to this morning.  I couldn't believe it.  I don't think I have ever seen snow in April in Virginia.  The kids loved it though and had a ball playing in what I can only assume now will be the last snow of the year.

It melted pretty quickly and by late afternoon everything was dry again.  It sure was pretty this morning though.  Once again I hope you all have a wonderful Easter. 

Fun color challenge!

I love this card.  I got the color scheme from the color challenge over on splitcoast, and I like it a lot more than I thought I would.  I used the distressing tool on the Stampin' Up cutter kit to make the edges look worn like that.  I also inked the morning marigold paper with morning marigold ink.  I really do not like the way the organdy ribbon scans:( Oh, the colors are really rust, morning marigold, and brocade blue.  Go try it!  It's way fun.
I spent the night running around town tonight taking the kids here and there(it was exhausting).  Tomorrow is our big home schooling group's Easter party.  The kids love the big parties that our group holds for different holidays(exciting stuff:))

Been MIA

Sorry I've been gone so long.  Hubby has been working from home and I haven't been able to get on the puter as much as I would like.  I think things have settled down on that front now though.  So I should be here every day again.  Whoohoo.

No high speed for me:(

It's really hard to post to my blog regularly lately.  My husband has been working from home A LOT and since we live out in the boonies we still can't high speed.  How sad is that?  Let me answer that for you.  It's sad really, really SAD!  Anyway I've been so busy.  I went to an amazingly fun Stampin' Up event on Saturday and had a great time and learned a lot of really cool stuff.  Yeah, yeah I share it with you guys soon.  Until then let me share the baby shower card I made for my sister.  Her shower is tomorrow and I really love how this card came out.  I did get the general idea from another stamper at splitcoaststampers.
